                                                                                                                          Tri-Valley Freshman and gymnastics
                                                                                                                      peting in state and national gymnastics
                                                                                                                      competitions  from a  very young  age.
                                                                                                                      Saylor just won level 10 gymnastics in
                                                                                                                      Ohio in vault and beam.  She was 2nd all
                                                                                                                      around and also 2nd on floor.  Starkey’s
                                                                                                                      beam  was  the highest scoring  junior
                                                                                                                      level routine and 2nd highest out of all
                                                                                                                      level 10s in Ohio.  In her recent level 10
                                                                                                                      regional competition, Saylor won beam
                                                                                                                      (9.725),  placed 2nd  on  vault  (9.675),
                                                                                                                      2nd on floor( 9.65), and 3rd all around
                                                                                                                      out  of  the best gymnasts  from 5 area
                                                                                                                      states.
                                                                                                                          “Saylor has been going to gymnas-
                                                                                                                      tics since she could first walk. She start-
                                                                                                                      ed here locally at Champion. Around age
                                                                                                                      4, we quickly saw she was not like other
                                                                                                                      children and was advancing very quickly.
                                                                                                                      At age 7, she competed at level 6! That
                                                                                                                      same year they decided to start training
                                                                                                                      her for  the TOPS program.  She tested
                                                                                                                      as an 8,9, and 10-year-old and made it
                                                                                                                      into the top 100 gymnasts in the country
                                                                                                                      all three years. She then went to nation-
                                                                                                                      als tops testing at the Karolyi Ranch in
                                                                                                                      Texas,  which was  the Olympic  training
                                                                                                                      site. She soon  after  started  training  in
                                                                                                                      Westerville at buckeye gymnastics.”
                                                                                                                      stated Ashlee Jasper Starkey.
                                                                                                                          Look  for  Starkey to go far  in  gym-
                                                                                                                      nastics  and  congratulate her  on  how
                                                                                                                      well she has done!
