Z Energy Light Therapy opens in Downtown Zanesville

Scott and Jennifer Eubanks opened Z Energy Light Therapy, located at 601 Underwood Street, Zanesville. The business offers a non-invasive light therapy that uses scalar waves and frequencies to give the body the best environment to heal.

The type of therapy they provide can be best explained in this segment from the homepage of the business’s website “Light Therapy is a safe, non-invasive treatment that uses specific wavelengths of light and color to improve mood, energy, inflammation, sleep, and stress management. Reset your body’s internal clock, give your damaged cells a chance to regenerate, and boost your overall well-being naturally!”

The couple decided to start the business after experiencing the healing effects of the therapy themselves.

“I had such terrible back pain and inflammation that after trying everything, doctors, surgeons, you name it, nothing worked,” explained Scott. “A friend told Jen about this, and quite honestly, I was very skeptical.  But I felt so bad, I was willing to give it a shot.  We found a center in Sugarcreek, Ohio.  We went to it.  After about 10 hours, I really started to feel a change.   And then we continued to go.  I think we went eight or nine months, once a week for two hours.  And I feel 90% better physically and mentally than I did when I started.  So I went from being a skeptic to it totally worked, and turned it into a business. Try to help other people, really.  Because there are a lot of people I know, whether it’s physical or mental, everybody has stress, everybody has issues. This is just a great opportunity to come and heal and relax.”

And for me, I just went to be supportive of him,” Jennifer added. “I didn’t go in thinking I had an issue or a problem or anything.  And what I found is overall wellness just changed for me. A ton more energy throughout the day. Not feeling the need to take those naps. Not feeling the need for that coffee at 3 o’clock in the afternoon. Digestive issues completely cleared up. Things that I didn’t think were problems kind of were. My sleep, it’s very good for sleep. A lot of people get on a better circadian rhythm after being in light therapy, which is huge. So many of us are deprived of sleep.”

Individual sessions with private rooms with seating for two, large rooms for seating up to six, business packages, and monthly packages are all available as options.

“So it’s recommended in the field to do two-hour sessions because that allows your body the most optimal time for relaxation.  After that, though, for us, it was weekly. We know people that will come in and do light therapy for four or six hours at a time in one day, which is fine, too. It’s whatever your body needs, whatever you are able to do,” Jennifer said.

Hours of operation are Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. They are closed on Monday and Sunday.
