Event Paid Tribute to the Longaberger Brand’s 125th Anniversary

During the summer a celebration typically takes place where the Longaberger community can come together. For over 40 years that event was the annual Longaberger Bee and in more recent years, the Dave Longaberger Legacy Dinner hosted by the Dresden Community Association. This year the Longaberger Company celebrated by hosting a Homecoming Event, bringing together current and past Longaberger home and life stylists, members of the local community, and fans of the brand to pay tribute to the 125th anniversary of the brand’s origin. In addition, the event marked the one-year anniversary of XCEL Brands’ acquisition of Longaberger.

“We are thrilled to host this Homecoming event and return to Longaberger’s roots to celebrate the success of the brand’s loyal following,” said Robert W. D’Loren Xcel’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer prior to the event. “We look forward to celebrating the history, talent, and expansion of the Longaberger community.”

The event took place on July 23, 2021, at the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens in Columbus, Ohio. A live-streaming show hosted by Rachel Longaberger and virtual experiences connected those who could not make it in person to the event.

Attendees were invited to explore the grounds, meet home and life stylists and customers, enjoy hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, and witness the reveal of a new Longaberger Jewelry collection. Guests also had first access to purchase exclusive products.

“It is remarkable to see the evolution of Longaberger, a brand that our father (Dave Longaberger) founded in 1973. This Homecoming Event is a way to thank our community for all their support,” said Tami Longaberger.
