Lady Electrics softball has a 2 – 6 record after a tough couple of weeks

Philo vs Sheridan (4/15-4/16)

On Monday in Duncan Falls, the Lady Generals faced off against the Lady Electrics in game on of a two-game series that started with Sheridan taking an 8 – 0 lead in the top of the second inning thanks in part to a pair of triples from Grosse and Cadigan along with support from the rest of the batting lineup.  Cadigan smacked another triple in the top of the fourth inning to finish off Sheridan’s scoring with the 14 – 0 victory over Philo.

In Thornville during game two, the Electrics were the first to strike taking a 1 – 0 lead over Sheridan in the first inning and bumping it up to a 2 – 1 lead in the third inning.  The Lady Generals came back to get three more runs over the next to innings to take the sweep with a 4 – 2 win over Philo.

Philo vs Tri-Valley (4/10)

The Scotties visited Duncan Falls on Wednesday for an evening game against the Lady Electrics.  With a ground out by Rose bringing in Southall and a double from Wolfe that sent home Harris, Philo took a 2 – 0 lead after one.  Winland scored for the Electrics in the bottom of the fourth off of a sacrifice fly by Busse to cap their score at 3 runs.  Tri-Valley came back in the top of the fifth and sixth innings with one run each but was not able to level the game and the Electrics landed a 3 – 2 victory over the Dawgs.

Philo vs Dover Doubleheader (4/6)

The Dover Lady Tornadoes traveled to Duncan Falls on Saturday for a doubleheader against the Lady Electrics.  During game one of the double-feature, the girls from Dover took a 2 – 0 lead in the top of the first inning on a couple of singles by Peltz and Bantum. The Electrics tried to hit back in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run on a double by Rose closing the gap to 2 – 1 Dover.  In the top of the fifth inning, the Tornadoes grabbed another run thanks to Peltz.  Dover wraps up their scoring in the top of the six with a four-run inning.  Philo landed one more run in the sixth but it wasn’t enough as the Tornadoes took game one 7 – 2.

With their bats still warm, the Lady Tornadoes grabbed four runs off a pair of doubles in the first inning of game two.  With the help of Dover’s pitcher Molk, the Electrics were not able to get a single run for the second game and Dover took the sweep with a 5 – 0 win in game two.
