Philo Electrics baseball taking hit after hit as they try to regain footing

Philo vs Sheridan (4/15 – 4/16)

On Monday, Duncan Falls hosted game one of the series against the Generals where they took an 8 – 2 lead by the end of the fourth inning.  They stacked on another four runs in the top of the sixth inning to take a 12 – 2 win.

During game two in Thornville, Philo and the Generals were tied 1 – 1 after one inning. But the equality didn’t last long as Sheridan racked up a 6 – 1 lead by the end of the fourth inning and ended the game after seven innings with an 8 – 1 win.

Philo vs Tri-Valley (4/10 & 4/13)

In game one of the series against the Scotties, the Electrics hosted the game as Tri-Valley took a 3 – 0 lead in the top of the third inning.  Plagued by wild pitches the Electrics gave up the final runs of the game as Tri-Valley picked up three runs to round out scoring for the game as the Scotties seized a 7 – 0 win.

Game two of the series saw the Tri-Valley team hosting Philo at Kenny Wolford Park in Dresden. The Dawgs grabbed a single run in the bottom of the first inning off of a single pop fly.  The Scotties held the score until the seventh inning taking the 1 – 0 win.

Philo vs Uitica (4/6)

Duncan Falls played host to the Utica Redskins on Saturday, Philo took an early 1 – 0 lead in the bottom of the fourth inning.  It took Utica til the top of the sixth inning to tie up the game and then they grabbed the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh, grabbing the 2 – 1 win for the day.

Philo vs Indian Valley (4/5)

The Braves traveled to Duncan Falls on Friday to play against the Electrics.  Indian Valley took a quick 1 – 0 lead in the top of the first inning and held it for a little while.  Philo came back at the bottom of the second inning to take a 2 – 1 lead after a couple of RBIs brought in by singles.  In the bottom of the third inning, Josh Gooden scored on a sacrifice fly by Eli Roush that finished out Electric’s scoring and locked in the final score of the game as they took a 3 – 1 victory.
