Community came together to raise $142,530 during 38th Annual Carr Center Cake Auction

The Carr Center provides important services to children and adults living with disabilities in Muskingum County through programs that they offer. One of the main fundraisers for the organization is their cake auction which was established in the late 80s.

The community showed their support as they have for 38 years and provided cakes to auction and some amazing incentives to sweeten the deal (no pun intended). There were 348 entries in this year’s auction. A total of $142,530 was raised during the two-day event. Freedom Tacticals entry (#105) had the highest bid raising over 4,000 for the Carr Center. Their cakes were in honor of Keith Daw and also served as a tribute to all First Responders. The cake entered by Independent Stave Company won the People’s Choice Award for Wednesday and the following day’s award for People’s Choice went to the cake entered and baked by Pure Love Bakery. All of the results from this year’s cake auction can be viewed at carrcenter.org/Events/Cake-Auction.

The 39th Annual Carr Center Cake Auction will be held April 23 & 24, 2025. Look for details closer to the time at carrcenter.org.
