- Celebrate America’s 250th Birthday with a simple, meaningful tradition… a picnic. As part of Ohio’s statewide Homecoming & Picnic celebration, Dresden invites you to slow down, gather, and enjoy lunch the best way we know how—in a basket. Each guest will receive an insulated tote tucked inside a basket, filled with a classic picnic lunch: Sub sandwich, pasta salad, chips, dessert, and water. Wrapped in bold red, navy, and timeless Americana style, this is more than a meal—it’s a moment. Find a bench. Grab a picnic table. Sit along Main Street. - Reserve your time in advance and work alongside a skilled basket weaver to create your very own handwoven Longaberger Event Basket. Learn the art of basket weaving—over and under, tapping your rounds down, giving your basket a “haircut,” and finishing it with a final band. Then, proudly sign the bottom of your basket as a lasting memory of your experience. Don’t forget your camera—this is a true memory-making moment! Time slots are limited. - Enjoy a creative, hands-on experience as a skilled artist helps guide you in painting your own Longaberger Beverage Tote Basket. Choose your colors and make it your own. This basket features a solid wood bottom with a ½" weave, making it both beautiful and functional. A fun and artistic opportunity for all! Pre-registration is required. $25 per person
