Adamsville Homecoming kicks off with a parade Wednesday, July 22

The final Tri-Valley area homecoming for the year is nearly upon us. The Adamsville Homecoming may be the last, but it is certainly not least. This year’s event lineup welcomes back many favorites, such as the pedal tractor and farm tractor pulls, fireworks, and, of course, a parade. The theme is “Stars and Stripes Under the Neon Lights”. The full schedule is below:

Wednesday, July 22

  • 6:30 p.m. – Parade Begins
  • After Parade – Crowning of Co-Queens
  • After Parade – Music by Bluegrass Gospel

Thursday, July 23

  • 6:00 p.m. – Melissa Marie School of Dance
  • 7:00 p.m. – Kids’ Tractor Pedal Pull
  • 7:30 – 10:30 p.m. – Square Dance

Friday, July 24

  • 6:00 p.m. – Garden Tractor Pulls
  • 6:00 p.m. – Corn Hole Tournament
  • 8:00 – 11:00 p.m. – The Danny Emerick Project Band

Saturday, July 25

  • 10:00 a.m. – Farm Tractor Pulls
  • 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. – Traveling Petting Zoo
  • 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. – Face Painting
  • 2:00 p.m. – Kids’ Games
  • 8:00 p.m. – Sons of Maverick Band 
  • Fireworks at Dusk
  • 11:00 p.m. – Raffle Wagon

Homecoming Parade Grand Marshals, Co-Queens, and Flower Girl announced

Parade Grand Marshals – Larry and Deb Lapp

Larry and Deb Lapp have been chosen as this year’s parade Grand Marshals. Larry is a lifelong farmer and Adamsville area resident. Deb retired after teaching for 35 years at Adamsville Elementary School. The Adamsville community is home to many of their family members and friends.

Co-Queen Brook Knicely

Hi, my name is Brooke Knicely. My parents are Jared and Lacie Knicely. I just graduated from John Glenn High School and Mid-East CTC. I am active in FFA and 4-H. I have been on the honor roll. I was in the student advisory club for my lab at Mid-East. I did marching band for four years in high school. I have been my 4-H Club’s President for one year, Vice President for two years, and Treasurer for three years. I was the 2024 Beef Ambassador. I was on the Muskingum County Junior Fair Board for one year. I was a Muskingum County Junior 4-H Camp Counselor for four years. I do Archery for my school. I also dance competitively and non-competitively. My flower girl is Delilah Patton.

Co-Queen Katie Stafford

My name is Katie Stafford. I am 18 years old. I am the oldest daughter of Eric and Heather Stafford. We have a cattle and poultry farm on Copeland Woods Rd. I am a recent graduate of Tri-Valley High School. While I was in high school, I was an officer and leader in FFA, and I achieved my State degree, which is the highest degree you can receive as a high school FFA student. I also received my Gold-Rated Reporter Award. I am currently working on an American Degree, which 10% of students achieve in the United States.

 I am a member of Adamsville Mixed Farmers 4-H club. I have held many positions during 13 years of 4-H. I have been the Senior Poultry ambassador, the Junior Beef ambassador, and the current 2026 Muskingum Cattlesmen’s Senior Beef ambassador. 

Currently, I work at Adronettos Pizzeria as a hostess in Zanesville, Ohio. I am also enrolled at OSU ATI Wooster for the 2026 Fall semester. While at OSU, I plan to attain my Forestry and Beef Production and Management degrees and certifications. I also plan to pursue my passion for avian wildlife with a minor in Avian Wildlife and Biology.

I am proud to represent Adamsville as the co-Queen at the 2026 Adamsville Homecoming. Adamsville and the community have always been supporters of my goals and dreams in farming and forestry. I am overjoyed to be chosen to be seen as a leader and pillar of my Adamsville community. Thank you for the opportunity.

Flower Girl Delilah Patton

Hi, my name is Delilah Patton.  My parents are Liz and Blake Patton of Norwich. I am the niece of Homecoming Queen Brooke Knicely.  I am 5 years old and will be attending kindergarten this fall!  I enjoy taking dance classes and playing with my friends.
