Crooksville-Roseville Pottery Festival returns for 61st year

The 61st Annual Crooksville-Roseville Pottery Festival will be held at Crooksville Park from Thursday, July 16 through Saturday, July 18. The three-day annual festival honors the area’s rich pottery-making history with a parade, contests, old-time traditions, food, and live music. This year’s itinerary is outlined below:

Thursday, July 16

  • 12:00 p.m. – Ceremonial Opening Presentation of Color Guard/National Anthem, Clay Center greeting by Joan Spring, Clay Center of Ohio Commemorative Plate Breaking/Auction
  • 3:00 p.m. – Rides open
  • 3:00 p.m. – Pottery Pitch Opens
  • 6:00 p.m. – Queen Pageant
  • 7:15 p.m. – Pizza Eating Contest (Sponsored by Peach’s Place)
  • 8:00 p.m. – Live music: Anita Rephil Band

Friday, July 17

  • 10:00 a.m. – Festival Grounds Open, Pottery talks and pancakes with Jonathan
  • 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Pie Contest Check-In (No pies accepted after noon. Pie drop-off location: Crooksville-Roseville VFW (9090 Veterans Way, Crooksville))
  • 12:00 p.m. – Rides Open
  • 2:00 p.m. – Live Music: Shawn Peck Band
  • 4:00 p.m. – Pie Contest & Auction (Sponsored by Peach’s Place – Winners announced, and awards presented. Pie Auction immediately following)
  • 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. – Peerless Lodge Fish Fry
  • 5:00 p.m. – Cathy’s Dance Studio
  • 6:00 p.m. – Baby Beautiful Contest
  • 7:00 p.m. – Fire Extraction Demonstration – Crooksville Fire Department
  • 8:00 p.m. – Live Music: Erica and Jared Acoustic Duo

Saturday, July 18

  • 10:00 a.m. – Festival Grounds Open
  • 12:00 p.m. – Kids Games (Sponsored by Peach’s Place and Fuzz’s Frosty Snow Cones and Treats)
  • 1:00 p.m. – Leaping Lizards Adventure (live animal show) Sponsored by The Perry County District Library
  • 2:00 p.m. – Sno-Cone Eating Contests (Sponsored by Fuzz’s Frosty Cones and Treats)
  • 3:00 p.m. – Live Music: Present Day Alter Band
  • 5:00 p.m. Parade Lineup
  • 6:00 p.m. Grand Parade “Celebrating Our Pottery Tradition Through The Years”
  • 7:00 p.m.- Visiting Queen Introduction
  • 8:00 p.m. – Live Music: Big Bad Stache Band
  • 10:00 p.m.Festival Closes with Fireworks
