It has been a year since we have written a little something in the paper introducing ourselves and the Buzz. For those that missed that first article please allow us to briefly introduce ourselves again.
The Dresden Buzz is published by Lynette and Matthew Dotson of Dotson Design Studio, LLC, a business that has been in Dresden for five years but has operated for ten. Dotson Design Studio specializes in print and web marketing for businesses and organizations. We have two children, Katelyn and Logan, who attend Dresden Elementary which they absolutely love.
Over the past year, we have met some of the most amazing people because of the Buzz and for that, we are truly thankful. The community has been so welcoming and supportive of our little newspaper which is something that we both hoped for but were unsure how it would be received. The amount of “thank yous” in person, over the phone, by letter or emails have been such a tremendous inspiration to keep working hard to bring the Buzz to all of you every two weeks for the past year.
We would like to thank our advertisers especially those who have advertised since the beginning: Lepi and Associates, Olde Town Realty, 1340 Cafe and Sweet Shop, Ford’s Towing, Scrappy’s Pizza, Northpointe Dental, and Dresden Family Health Center. It is because of these businesses that we have been able to continue printing and distributing this newspaper.
A huge thank you is also in order for all of the 33 locations that allow us to put the Buzz in their businesses. This accessibility has been such a key component in being able to reach readers with a physical printed issue in all parts of the Tri-Valley area.
The reach of the paper has amazed us. DresdenBuzz.com is visited by those outside the county in different parts of Ohio, in all 50 states and in different parts of the world. To our knowledge, a Dresden area newspaper had never been published online before. The Buzz website has reached over 75,000 views in its first year and the daily visits are still on the rise.
As we look forward to another year and many beyond that we are excited to see what new stories we will cover, who we may meet and whos lives our paper will impact with positive stories from our little communities that make up the Tri-Valley area.
