A local nutrition club turned a new page last month, switching ownership, taking on a fresh look, and unveiling a new name, Next Chapter Nutrition. The club is located at 700 Main Street, Dresden, in the former location of First Choice Nutrition.
Owner Connie LeMaster has been in the nutrition club business, distributing and working with Herbalife products for nine years. She had known Melissa and Rob King, the owners of First Choice Nutrition, for some time, and when the business became available, LeMaster seized the opportunity, ready for her next chapter in life. The Kings still own First Choice Nutrition, so they kept the name, but they no longer needed the club location on Main Street.
“My kids grew up here,” explained LeMaster. “We live in Adamsville, but they grew up here, going to Tri-Valley. My husband went to Tri-Valley. The community’s so nice and warm, you know, so I was like, yes, I definitely want it, and we went through the transition of her keeping her name and moving on. She still does things from home. She still has her customers and stuff, but I bought the stuff here, started the business here.”
After tossing around several name ideas with her family, LeMaster chose Next Chapter Nutrition, a perfect fit for her new venture.
“The next chapter in my life, and my Herbalife business, would be to open my own club. So I look at it as my next chapter, but anybody that comes in that’s never tried Herbalife and wants to get their life, you know, back on track and get a healthier lifestyle, this would be their next chapter in their life, and me helping them,” said LeMaster.

LeMaster has made the space her own by adding some new features that enhance the already comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Being a grandmother with young grandchildren, a dedicated play area was an important addition for her, as well as a diaper changing station.
“I wanted something to let the mothers, because you know, sometimes you have parents that are at-home moms, but they just need time to meet up with their friends. I want them to be able to sit and visit and let their kids play to where it’s a little less stress on mom,” explained LeMaster. “So I’ve got the little play area for them and a little place for the parents or anyone to just sit and relax.”
Next Chapter Nutrition is open to anyone and provides a family-friendly setting serving protein shakes, energy teas, and protein iced coffees.
“It’s considered a nutrition club because we sell Herbalife shakes and teas. It’s a full meal replacement, but it tastes like dessert, so it tastes like you just skipped the meal and you went straight to dessert, but it’s a healthy meal. It’s got the energizing teas with the liftoffs, give you that extra boost of energy,” LeMaster said. “It’s just a friendly environment, and that way you don’t have to feel stressed. You can come in, sit down, relax, have your healthy shake and tea to get you going for the day, and we’ll make it however you want it.”
There are too many shake and tea options to name, but LeMaster’s favorite is salted caramel pretzel. A customer favorite is banana caramel cinnamon roll. These flavors may sound decadent, but each shake is packed with 21 essential vitamins and minerals, boasts 17 to 20 grams of protein per shake, and only has around 250 to 280 calories on average.
It has just been a month since opening, and LeMaster is already thinking about the future, including adding a children’s menu, expanding to offer deliveries to the schools in Dresden, and incorporating some fitness opportunities like a walking club, cardio drumming, and yoga classes.
