‘The Rocky Horror Show’ opens June 5 at The Renner

Opening weekend for Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show will be June 5 through 7. The show is for audiences 18 years and older, and is highly interactive with call-outs welcome, and prop bags available to purchase.

The Rocky Horror Show is a musical about a newly engaged, straight-laced young couple, Brad and Janet, whose car breaks down near a mysterious mansion while on their way to visit a former professor. Seeking help, they find themselves drawn into a bizarre and unforgettable night filled with eccentric characters, wild surprises, and unexpected adventures.

The cast includes Ethan Rodriguez (Frank-N-Furter), Zack Schreiner (Brad Majors), Allie Norman (Janet Weiss), Bryce Seyborn (Riff Raff), Michelle Robinson (Magenta), Amy Johnson (Columbia), Ron Kelso (Rocky), Nathan Kennedy (Eddie), Eric Turner (Dr. Scott), Scott Robinson (Narrator), and Kayla Fello (Usherette). Beth Kennedy, Hilly Lupusoru, Sara Newell, Lincoln Parks, and Hayden Weck make up the ensemble.

The production is directed by Jessica Cunningham, the assistant director is Shelly Tolliver, the music director is Kari Scott, and the producer and stage manager is Addy Weck. Other members of the crew are Hannah Fasilis as prop mistress, Hayden Weck as choreographer, and Sean Starcher as lighting director.

Showtimes are 7:30 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, June 5, 6, 12, and 13. On Sundays, June 7 and 14, shows begin at 2:30 PM.

The Renner Theater is located at 148 North 7th Street in Zanesville. Tickets may be purchased online at zanetraceplayers.ludus.com or at the door, although online is recommended for the best seating selection. Tickets are $18 for adults ($23 with prop bag) or $15 for seniors 55+ or students 18+ ($20 with prop bag).
