Vs. Claymont (5/28)
The Mustangs jumped out to an early 1 – 0 lead in Cambridge on Thursday. The scoring stalled for the next three innings before the Bobcats came back with the tying run in the bottom of the fifth, 1 – 1. Cambridge took the lead in the bottom of the next inning with two runs, 3 – 1. Claymont responded with the tying two runs in the top of the seventh, 3 – 3. The game remained tied through the ninth inning, to go for extra innings, until Cambridge took the walk-off winning run in the bottom of the 10th, 4 – 3, to move on to the District Final game.
Vs. St. Clairsville (5/21)
On the road for a makeup regular-season game in St. Clairsville, the Bobcats faced the Red Devils on Thursday. Cambridge grabbed a run in the first inning to lead briefly 1 – 0, until the Devils answered in the bottom of the inning with a six-run blowout, 6 – 1. The Bobcats were able to nab two more runs in the top of the second inning, but were shut down after that. With a run in each of the next four innings, the Red Devils took a 10 – 3 win.
Vs. East Liverpool (5/19)
On Tuesday, the number 4-seeded Bobcats hosted the 14th-seeded East Liverpool Potters. After a quick top of the first inning, the Bobcats leapt onto the board with two runs to lead 2 – 0. Cambridge added another run in the bottom of the second, 3 – 0. The third inning came and went without a run, but Cambridge made up for it with four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, followed by three runs in the bottom of the fifth, to win the Division IV Sectional Title with the 10 – 0 shutout victory.
