Lil’ Muskies Volleyball Winning Again After Losing To Two Conference Rivals

John Glenn Volleyball is literally bouncing back after a brief dry spell against Tri-Valley and Sheridan.

Things did not go to plan when the Lady Muskies hosted the Tri-Valley squad on Tuesday, September 26th. In a five-game match Tri-Valley got the upper hand with the 25-19, 23 – 25, 24 – 26, 25 – 20, and 13 – 15 game scores.

For the Muskies Emma Briggs had 20 kills, 5 aces, 14 digs, and 3 blocks. Emma Dolan had 12 kills, 12 digs, and 3 aces. Aleea Musselman had 10 kills, 19 digs, and 2 aces. Lauren Blair had 35 assists, 4 aces, 5 kills, and 12 digs. Faith Saxton had 4 blocks, and 2 kills. Miley Ault had 3 kills. Sarah Wayne had 8 digs, and 1 ace. Brelynn Barr had 6 digs, and 1 ace. Alaiah Johnson had 6 digs.

The John Glenn girls moved on to take on the Sheridan Generals on Thursday, September 28th. The Generals took the match in a three game sweep of 25 – 16, 25 – 22, and 25 – 22.

On Saturday, September 30th, faced Licking Valley turning the tables with a 3 game sweep of their own with 25 – 21, 25 – 20, and 25 – 12.

The Lady Muskies had a second sweep on Tuesday, October 3rd against Maysville with scores of 25 – 16, 25 – 10, 25 – 20 to win the match.

John Glenn moves on to play River View on Saturday, October 7th.
