Local teens were part of Team Ohio in the 2025 Junior Wrestling Nationals in Fargo

Three local teens represented Muskingum County in Team Ohio in the 2025 Junior Wrestling Nationals held in Fargo, North Dakota, the biggest High School Wrestling Tournament in the world.

Coach Skyler Wisecarver accompanied three Tri-Valley Wrestlers, Kandice Spry, Landon Jenkins, and Logan McClellan, to Fargo, North Dakota in July to compete in the 2025 Junior Nationals.

Spry went 4-2 in the girls’ junior division with one of her wins against a top 20 nationally ranked competitor.

Jenkins was there for the first time, competing in the 16U freestyle division. He dropped two contested matches but did a great job for his first year in freestyle.

Logan McClellan went 3-2 in the junior freestyle division and then went 4-2 in the junior Greco-Roman division to finish 7-4 in the tournament.

Coach Wisecarver was selected to coach the Girls’ Ohio National Team with a group of the state’s best coaches at both High School and Collegiate level.

“Thanks to our wonderful community for supporting these kids year round, especially financially! We wouldn’t be able to chase greatness without everyone who supports. Next year we will bring home some All-Americans from Fargo!” stated Coach Wisecarver on the Tri-Valley Wrestling Facebook page.
