Philo's Junior Varsity pitcher Kadence Ferguson delivers a pitch to Meadowbrook on the Electrics home field while the varsity played in Byesville

Vs. New Lexington (4/2)

On the road in New Lexington, the Lady Electrics were looking to level their overall record after dropping a game to River View. Philo pumped out two runs in the opening inning, but the Panthers raised them one, and took a 3 – 2 lead after one inning. The Electrics pushed out to a 5 – 3 lead after the top of the second inning, where they scored three more runs. Philo was up to a 6 – 3 lead before the bottom of the third, where New Lex lit up the scoreboard for five more runs to jump back into the lead, ahead 8 – 6. Philo answered back in a big way with a Grand Slam by Dilyn Brown to drive in Dakota Torres, Autumn Hartman, and Rylee Yonis for a 10 – 8 flip of the lead. To nail down the win, the Electrics rallied for six runs in the top of the fifth for a 16 – 8 lead. New Lex made one final attempt in the bottom of the seventh inning, but could only manage two more runs, and they fell to Philo 16 – 10.

The Lady Electrics will head to Millersburg on Saturday to play West Holmes; game time is 11 AM.

Vs. River View (3/31)

Warsaw’s River View High School hosted the Lady Electrics on Tuesday, where Philo jumped out to a 1 – 0 lead after the first inning, only to be tied up by the Lady Black Bears in the second inning. After grabbing another run in the top of the third inning, River View pumped out four runs in the bottom of the inning to lead 5 – 2. Philo landed one more runner across the plate in the fifth inning, but that was the cap on scoring for both teams as the game ended after seven innings with River View winning 5 – 3.

Vs. River View (3/30)

The Lady Black Bears hopped a bus in Warsaw and headed for Duncan Falls on Monday. Philo took the initiative to hit the scoreboard first in the bottom of the first inning to lead 1 – 0. River View tied up the game in the top of the third inning with a run, but Philo answered back with a three-run bottom of the third, with the scoring coming from a single and an error to lead the game 3 – 2. In the bottom of the fourth inning, the Lady Electrics sealed the deal with two singles and a home run by Hartman that drove in Cassidy Himes to lead 9 – 2. At the end of seven innings, the Electrics got on the bus headed back home with a 10 – 3 win under their belts.

Vs. Meadowbrook (3/26)

On Thursday, the Lady Electrics rode the bus east to Byesville to face the Meadowbrook Colts. The game started off slowly for both teams as no one hit the scoreboard until the bottom of the third when the Colts put the first run up, taking a 1 – 0 lead. Philo answered back in the top of the fourth with a two-run homer by Kyleigh McGraw to bring in Lakien Cox for a 2 – 1 lead. The Lady Electrics backed up their lead at the top of the fifth with two singles and a double to increase their lead to 5 – 1. Meadowbrook rallied for three runs in the bottom of the inning to narrow the gap to 5 – 4. It looked like the Electrics could wrap up the game and head home as the next three half innings went down scoreless, but in the bottom of the seventh, Chloe Callahan doubled for the Colts and brought in Addy Sichina, and Natalee Norman to win the game 6 – 5.
