Vs. Meadowbrook (4/2)
In New Concord on Thursday, the Colts came to town hoping to upset the five-game winning streak of the Muskies. Meadowbrook opened scoring after a stalled first inning for both teams. The Colts took a 1 – 0 lead that they held for a whole inning before a four-run rally by the Muskies, including a double by Addi Babcock that brought in Ava Miller and Kinley Porter to lead 4 – 1. Porter came back in the bottom of the fifth to single and drive in Estelle Matheney, followed by Josilyn Stashonsky scoring on a throw to wrap up scoring and leading to a 6 – 1 victory for John Glenn.
The Lil’ Muskies will travel to New Philadelphia on Saturday, April 4th, to face the Quakers in a doubleheader starting at 12 PM.
Vs. Tri-Valley (3/31)
Tuesday’s game in Dresden started off strong for the Muskies as Ava Miller doubled in the first inning to take a 1 – 0 lead. They added two more runs at the top of the second inning to increase the lead to 3 – 0. While holding the Scotties scoreless, John Glenn’s Cora Dever hit a single in the top of the third to score Miller and Porter, followed by a two-run homer by Morgan Harper that brought home Dever to lead 7 – 0. Tri-Valley pulled off two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning, followed by the answer from the Muskies as they grabbed two final runs in the top of the seventh inning that led to their 9 – 2 win.
Vs. Tri-Valley (3/30)
The Lil’ Muskies softball team hosted the Scotties on Monday in New Concord. John Glenn opened the scoring in a big way as Miller singled to drive in Libby Brown, and Matheney followed directly with a double from Babcock to jump out to a 3 – 0 lead. Kendall Snider hit a single homer in the bottom of the second to increase the lead to 4 – 0. After shutting out the Scottie offense, the Muskies held their lead through seven and sent Tri-Valley home with a 4 – 0 loss.
Vs. Crooksville (3/26)
On the road in Crooksville on Thursday, the Lil’ Muskies dominated. Kendall Snider nailed down 14 strikeouts and added a solo homer in the fifth to lead to a 5 – 1 victory over the Ceramics.
Vs. Indian Valley (3/25)
The Braves didn’t stand much of a chance against the Muskies as they played on Wednesday in New Concord. John Glenn put a run on the board in the bottom of the first, followed by two runs in the bottom of both of the next two innings, leading 5 – 1 after three. A run was added in the bottom of the fifth and sixth innings for the Muskies, locked in the winning score of 7 – 1.
Vs. Cambridge (3/24)
Snider had a big showing against the Bobcats on Tuesday at the Cambridge City Park, striking out 14 batters, with zero hits and zero runs in six innings. She hit a solo homer in the top of the fourth to add one to a 7 – 0 lead. The Muskies doubled that score before the end of the sixth inning to win 14 – 0.
