Zanesville Daybreak Rotary Welcomes New 2026-2027 President

The Rotary Club of Zanesville Daybreak announced that Amy Froelich was sworn in by Brent Mirgon, immediate past president of the club, at the end of June. Her first regular Rotary meeting as president will be on July 2 at 7:15 a.m. at the Zanesville Country Club.

“I am energized and excited about this year’s Rotary theme, ‘Create Lasting Impact’ said Froelich. “It puts into perspective not only what we can do to serve others today, but also for many successful years to come. I will work hard to lead a club dedicated to creating lasting impact together through local and global service projects.

Froelich said her focus will be on helping individuals and families where they are now to prepare for where they want to be. “I was excited to learn what Rotary had to offer many years ago and found the mission of service above self to be worthwhile, necessary and gratifying to help our community and beyond.”

Froelich describes The Daybreak Rotary Club as a resolute and energetic group of members who step up in many ways to give back to those in need in our community and take service above self to a whole new level. “We look to our board, committee chairs and members to be effective every single day through their participation in local projects that promote peace, support education and foster economic growth. I will work to make Rotary fun and flexible for everyone, build partnerships in the communities the club serves, and show up while engaging families, not just individuals.”

The Club is involved in various local projects, including The Miracle League of Muskingum Valley Ohio, Habitat for Humanity, the Zanesville Veterans’ Day Parade, Tools for Schools and Club projects such as providing local students with the Rotary 4-Way Test competition, and honoring local teachers and

student musicians of the year. Many of these projects wouldn’t be possible without the support of the community who participate in fundraisers like, 12 Days of Christmas and the Rotary Daybreak Foundation Derby Auction.
