Vs. Post 159 Senior (7/7)

In Cambridge on Tuesday, Post 159 started off the scoring in the top of the second with a run to lead 1 – 0. They bolstered their advantage with another run in the top of the third inning, 2 – 0. Cambridge responded with a run in the bottom of the fourth, but it would be their only run for the game, eventually falling to Post 159, 6 – 1, to wrap up their season.

Vs. Parkersburg WV Post 15 18O (7/4)

When hosting Parkersburg Post 15 on Saturday, the 4th of July, the first three innings of the game were dominated by the defenses of both teams, not allowing any runs until Parkersburg popped out a run in the top of the fourth. Cambridge answered right back with a tying run in the bottom of the inning off of a single by Jace McQueen that drove home Mason Gregg, 1 – 1. In the top of the next inning, Parkersburg pushed out three runs to lead again, 4 – 1, but Cambridge was just getting warmed up when Dakoda Rich singled in the bottom of the fifth to drive in Jackson Cabot, followed by a single from Gregg to allow Rich and Garrett Carpenter to tie up the game at 4 – 4. A single from McQueen brought in Brady Arnold and Gregg to take the lead 6 – 4. A couple more runs in the bottom of the following inning sealed the game for Cambridge, who took the 8 – 4 victory.

Vs. Marietta Post 64 Sr Legion (7/4)

Cambridge/Belle Valley took a 2 – 0 lead right away on Saturday in Marietta. Post 64 finally answered back in the bottom of the third to tie the game, 2 – 2. Cambridge opened back up the scoring in the top of the next inning to take an additional 3 runs, followed by two in the top of the seventh to lead the game 7 – 2. Marietta grabbed one final run, but fell to Cambridge 7 – 3.

Vs. Zanesville Post 29 Sr. Legion (7/2)

On Thursday, amid scorching temperatures, Cambridge/Belle Valley hosted the Zanesville Post 29 Sr Legion, who pumped out two runs in the top of both of the first two innings to lead 4 – 3 after two. But consistent runs in by Cambridge in the two innings, capped by an eight-run fifth inning, gave Cambridge the boost they needed to beat Zanesville 14 – 4.
