Hexed Holler Collective provides space to create and connect in downtown Zanesville

A new business, Hexed Holler Collective, located at 47 N 4th Street, Suite 204, Zanesville, celebrated its opening on Thursday, April 9, 2026. The Zanesville-Muskingum Chamber of Commerce welcomed the new business by holding a ribbon cutting ceremony that afternoon.

Hexed Holler Collective is a creative studio that rents space for creative projects like photography. The eclectic space will also be used for events and to build a community.

“I just feel like we’re in a world where people need connection and need creativity, and I was like, now’s the time. Better late than never, and do it now,” explained founder Sara Becker. No better time than the present, so I’ve always been creative, and I’m just like, I need an outlet, I need people, I need to just get the ball rolling. I moved here two and a half years ago, and I haven’t quite made the community I want yet, so I was like, all right, let’s build it then.”

Besides being used by creatives, the space will also serve as a place for workshops and gatherings. Becker has served as a firefighter and EMT for several years, so it is fitting that classes for CPR, BLS, and First Aid will also be offered at Hexed Holler Collective.

” I want to have different classes and events where people can learn something new or meet someone new, and they teach them something new, and just have that community and hopefully bring out creativity in other people, because it’s vital right now,” said Becker.

Events will be held several times throughout the year. Upcoming events include a Parlor Night on April 22 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., where board games and card games will be played; a Coven Night on April 30, also held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; and on May 1, they will be open for the First Friday Art Walk.

“I have a stage, and if I do like an open mic night or somebody wants to say, hey, I have a guitar, can I do an acoustic night here, whatever. So, I have all this stuff. Everything’s movable.  And I just want people to be able to create in this space also,” added Becker.

The rentable location is perfect for photographers because of the natural light and ample space. For the same reasons, it lends itself to content creators and artists. It provides a different vibe than what other local workspaces offer. The studio can be rented for one hour, two hours, or half the day through the business’s website.

” I am looking forward to just having a community and being a space that people want to be at and want to be involved in and grow in,” Becker stated.
