Vs. Gallia Academy (5/28)
The Lil’ Muskies faced the Blue Angels on Thursday. John Glenn was the first to score, putting two runs on the board in the bottom of the first inning to lead 2 – 0. With a strong pitching effort by Kendall Snider to shut out Galia, the second inning went scoreless, and then in the bottom of the third inning, the Muskies rallied for seven more runs, 9 – 0. John Glenn wrapped up their scoring efforts in the bottom of the sixth inning with one more run to take a 10 – 0 victory over the Blue Angels and move on to the Regional Final game on Saturday in Duncan Falls. The game will start at noon.
Vs. Beaver Local (5/20)
The Lil Muskies headed to Zoarville on Wednesday to face Lisbon Beaver. In the first few minutes of the game, the Lil’ Muskies made it clear why they were playing in the Division IV District Final, picking up two runs in the top of the first and three runs in the top of the second to lead 5 – 0 as the third inning started. Snider’s pitching locked up another team as the Beavers were shut out, and the Muskies tacked on four more runs by the top of the seventh to win the game 9 – 0, landing the Division IV East 1 District Title.
Vs. Cambridge (5/18)
John Glenn’s Kendall Snider kept the game in check on Monday against Cambridge, pitching seven perfect innings, with no hits or runs. The Muskies’ batting order did the rest as they put together three runs in the bottom of the sixth to take the 3 – 0 win.
Vs. Garaway (5/15)
New Concord hosted the Garaway Lady Pirates on Friday. Delaney Bell worked hard in the first four innings to keep the Pirates scoreless; the Lil’ Muskies grabbed two runs between the bottom of the third and fourth innings to lead 2 – 0. Garaway answered back in the top of the fifth inning with a run, but John Glenn snapped back with two runs in the bottom of the inning, 4 – 1. Garaway tied up the game at the top of the seventh inning with three runs, 4 – 4. The Pirates grabbed three extra runs in the top of the eighth to lead 7 – 4. In the bottom of the inning, the Muskies pulled out the win with a four-run rally to take the game 8 – 7.
